Walking in from the carport we still have that itty bitty dining area. Just a new table and chairs. New tile flooring.
Same old cabinets, but we used Kitchen Tune-up to “tune them up.” New countertops from Lowes.

Thank you! Your kind words make my heart happy! My husband and I agree with your opinion of a ranch style home. We both grew up in 3 story homes, but seem to be just fine with one floor living! Especially while the children are young. With that said, we still would like a little extra space, which is why we are finishing the basement. The girls are starting to invite friends over and I’m finding that I get kicked out of the living room while they have visitors. Having the basement finished would allow them a space of their own to play, dance, sing, and all those things kids do. 🙂
Exactly! We are in the middle of a basement reno, and I can’t wait for the space for playing, either. 🙂
